Bear Den (3rd Grade)
The Bear Den is for boys that are currently in 3rd grade (usually 8 or 9 years old).
Bears are the last year of Cub Scouts before entering the 18 month Webelos program, which prepares for Boy Scouts.
The Bear adventures begin to bridge the gap between Cub Scouts and Webelos. We learn abut our community, about nature and the world around us, and even learn pocket knife safety by earning our coveted Whittling Chip.
The Bear Uniform
Every Cub Scout should wear his uniform to all Cub Scouting activities, including den and pack meetings, hikes, outings, and any activities done with members of the Den or Pack unless informed otherwise. The "Class A" uniform is required and includes the following:
Blue Scout Shirt (Short Sleeve) - All Cub Scout Rank Tiger (1st Grade), Wolf (2nd Grade), and Bear (3rd Grade) wear the blue short-sleeve shirt.
Cub Scout belt - can be worn by all Cub Scout ranks
