Arrow of Light is the final 6 months of the Cub Scouting program, ending in March, where they will bridge to a Scouts BSA Troop.
The 6 month AOL program prepares them for scouts, and gives them the tools to jump right into new adventures with Scouting America. After completing the Arrow of Light, scouts advance to a Scouting America Troop of their choice.
Every Cub Scout should wear his/her uniform to all Cub Scouting activities, including den and pack meetings, hikes, outings, and any activities done with members of the Den or Pack unless informed otherwise. The "Class A" uniform is required and includes the following:
Tan Scout Shirt (Short Sleeve) - All Arrow of Light (5th Grade) wear the tan short-sleeve shirt. The Webelos (4th Grade) will continue to wear the blue Cub Scout shirt.Â
Cub Scout belt - can be worn by all Cub Scout ranks
Uniform Patches
In addition to the Class A uniform, there are patches that need to be purchased that go onto the uniform:
Western Los Angeles County Council (WLACC) Patch - goes on left shoulder
BSA Purple World Crest Patch - goes above the left pocket
1910 World Crest Ring Emblem (Optional) - goes around Purple World Crest
Pack Number Patches - You will receive a Pack 580 patch from the Pack upon signing up, and goes on left shoulder under WLACC patch
