Pack 580 End of the year campout 2016

CASTAIC PACK 580 END OF THE YEAR CAMPOUT 2019

This year's end of the year campout will be held this Saturday June 4th at the KOA Campground in Acton, CA.

We are very excited and hope you all are too! The Campout is Saturday June July 23 - Sunday June 24th. But don't forget, you can stay an extra night Friday on the group site at your own expense. If you are planning on staying on the group site Friday, please let us know. We have plans for how to arrange the tent sites to accommodate our activities and meals, so we can give you suggestions on where to set up your tents if you get there before the Nobili and Ritchie families.

  • We would greatly appreciate it if you could RSVP to the evite as soon as possible. If the number of members of your family attending has changed, please update that too! We want to make sure we have plenty of food and activity supplies!!!

  • We are asking all families to bring a 2.5 gallon jug of drinking water as part of your gear. This will be used for cooking and also for beverages for Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning. Please give it to Jennifer or Ginger when you arrive.

  • All scouts need to wear their red Class B shirt during the day on Saturday. If you do not have one yet please let us know and you can buy one from the pack.

  • All scouts need their Class A uniform for the bridging ceremony on Saturday night. They will change into it before dinner is served

  • Last year many families had no cell service once we got to the campground, depending on your carrier. If you have any questions for Jennifer or Ginger, please let us know before Friday. Otherwise we might not get your message!

Here are some suggested items to bring with you to the camp site to make your stay comfortable:

  • Tent for your family

  • Sleeping bags, pillows, extra blankets for each member of your family

  • Tarp to put down under your tent

  • Air mattresses (and a battery operated pump or manual pump to inflate... There is no electric at our tent site)

  • Camp chairs for your family (you will want them during the bridging ceremony and campfire songs)

  • Snacks for your family. The pack will provide some snacks for afternoon and evening, but feel free to bring anything else your family wants or likes.
