THE FOLLOWING IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CAMP DIRECTOR, JESSICA PAZDERNIK ABOUT THE 2016 CUB SCOUT SUMMER CAMP:
New year, New Cub Scout program, New Summer Camp for 2016!
Bill Hart Cub Scout Day Camp is very proud to announce our summer line up for 2016! This July, we are offering another terrific day camp experience for your cub scout at Camp Verdugo Oaks in Castaic! With two all new sessions to choose from, you can sign up for any combination you like - one day camp, one twilight camp or feel free to come to both camps! See below for more details:
- Session 1 will be our day camp session from July 11 - July 15 (M-F) - from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. As always, we will be offering Archery and BB gun shooting, Field Sports, Cub Crafts, Scout Skills, Cub Grub, Swimming, Woodworking and so much more! We will also feature daily guests, games and themed events for the 2016 camp theme of the “Open Road", and we will be getting our Kicks on Route 66 as we take our scouts on a virtual journey across our fantastic country - all while staying in the beautiful setting of Camp Verdugo Oaks!. A tremendous week of fun, friendships, learning and advancement for your cubs!
- Session 2 will be our brand new twilight camp session from July 18 - July 22 (M-F) - from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Session 2 will give your scouts an experience to be in camp in the later part of the day and the early evening for a uniquely designed program to maximize the afternoon fun! We are so excited to debut a new schedule, new opportunities for advancement and another perspective on coming out to camp! Session 2 will be slightly smaller in scale and geared more for veteran scouts of our day camp program! Just like last year: All scouts that register for both sessions will be featured as our road trek warriors and will be honored and celebrated as such! We are really looking forward to sharing this new camp with our scouts!
2016 Pricing details are as follows:
Session 1 and Session 2 are $135 per week before May 1, $160 per week after May 1
Last year, our camps were sold out by the end of March. We have already received numerous inquiries into the 2016 season, so if you are interested in sending your son to camp, we would encourage you to register early. Online registrations begin on February 1. You can sign up for either/both sessions by going to www.bsa-la.org, click on the link for cub scouts > camping > Day Camp - Bill Hart > session 1 (day) and/or session 2 (twilight).

It will be a truly memorable experience for you, and we say that from the bottom of our hearts!
