Free BSA "Popcorn Kickoff" Event at Mountasia This Saturday!

Boy Scouts Of America - Bill Hart District Sponsors a Free Event This Saturday!

Castaic Cub Scout Pack 580 Scouts are invited to a FREE event this Saturday at 11:30 am at Mountasia courtesy of Boy Scouts of America - Bill Hart District. This event is the start of our Popcorn Fundraising Campaign. Scouts and their parents who would like to get some great sales advice for the upcoming fundraiser are urged to attend. Scout leaders from our council will be on hand to not only give some great fundraising tips, but also to answer any questions that you may have about the popcorn fundraiser. There will also be food and fun activities for the scouts provided.

Our Popcorn Fundraiser helps us raise money for our pack that is used for all of our fun activities throughout the year. It also helps our local council host fun events like this, free of charge for our scouts! They hold several events like this throughout the year as well as hosting a wonderful summer camp that several of our scouts attended this year!

Two of the most important lessons our scouts learn as they grow in the pack are leadership and character building. The yearly fundraiser that we participate in allows the scouts to demonstrate both of these important traits by engaging in a respectful conversation with potential buyers, explaining the purpose for our fundraiser, and helping to take the lead in contributing to our pack through hard work and determination. These are lessons parents often overlook during our yearly fundraising campaign.

Hello Valiant Popcorn Kernels and Scouting Families!

In order to best help you launch your Unit Popcorn Campaign we have organized two kickoff events in your area! Additional events will be added soon, keep your eyes open for more information. These events are designed for all youth and adults interested in achieving sales greatness in 2016 and funding their Scouting program!

Event will feature various fun activities, food, games and of course samples of our prizes and products!

This event is free to all who attend! Come learn about the upcoming 2016 Popcorn Fundraising Campaign and have fun!

Pack 580 is located in Castaic, CA - bringing together boys from 1st grade through 5th grade. We hold monthly Pack meetings with all members of the pack, as well as Den meetings, where each group (1st Grade - Tigers, 2nd Grade - Wolves, 3rd Grade - Bears, 4th Grade - Weblos, and 5th Grade - Arrow of Light) gets together for fun activities, developing friendships that will last a lifetime!
